The two of us have had a chat and decided that the only thing better than embarking on a once in lifetime expedition across Europe and Asia, is embarking on a once in a lifetime expedition across Europe and Asia and having something to show for it other than amazing photographs and bullet wounds.
That is why we have decided to use this trip as a platform to raise money for and hopefully awareness of the Children’s Hospice Association Scotland (CHAS).
CHAS provides hospice care for children with terminal and debilitating diseases. CHAS’s ethos is care for the whole family. As well as providing comfort and care for sick children, they can also provide a respite for parents that act as full time carers and siblings who often miss out on a normal childhood because the needs of their brother or sister have to take priority.
The fact that the two of us are able to embark on this incredible journey in the first place is something we really take for granted. It would be inherently selfish of us not to repay that luck in whatever way we can.
